ULANO CDF DIRECT STENCIL FILM
ULANO CDF STENCIL SYSTEM The CDF system offers a series of presensitized direct system photographic stencil films. Think of this film as actually a sheet of "Direct Emulsion" which is adhered to the screen after the screen has been degreased and still wet. The wetness of the screen mesh softens the CDF film which is attracted (by capillary action) up into the mesh. A single pull of the squeegee skims off the excess water speeding the drying. After completely dry, the polyester backing sheet is removed and the scfeen is ready for exposure and washout with plain water, just as you would any "Direct Emulsion." INDIRECT ULANO PHOTOGRAPHIC STENCIL FILMS
All indirect photographic stencil films consist of a light sensitive gel attached to a transparent clear polyester base or backing sheet, with special adhesives. Indirect films are exposed through the backing sheet, developed (except ULANOLUX UP3 Film), washed out and then adhered to the screen.

ULANO KNIFECUT STENCIL FILMS
A. Ulano Sta-Sharp (Solvent Adhered) Stencil Film is a lacquer based film that is adhered to the screen mesh with
a mild lacquer thinner (Sta-Sharp Adherent) and is designed to be used with mineral spirit based and water based inks.
Strong solvent based inks cannot be used.
B. Ulano Ulano-Cut (Water Adhered) Stencil Film is a water soluble film that is attached to the screen mesh with water
and is designed to be used will all strong solvent based inks or any ink system other than water based ink types. Available in Amba Color or Green Color.
ULANO LIQUID DIRECT EMULSIONS
ULANO . . . . . LIQUID DIRECT EMULSIONS
A. DLX is an all season premium diazo photopolymer emulsion with high solids (38.5%), high resolution and excellent definition. Formulated to eliminate the residual oiliness characteristic of dual cure emulsions. DLX dries quickly and reduces the sticking of positives.
B. #295 FAST produces a durable, reclaimable stencil, suited for high productions textile printing operations. Exposes quickly; exposure speed is comparable to diazo-photopolymer emulsions. High solids (41%) with excellent coating properties.
C. QTX is a presensitized, ready-to-use, ultra fast exposing SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion for imprinted sportswear printing with plastisol and water-based textile inks. QTX has extended shelf life.
D. QFX is a presensitized, ready-to-use, ultra fast exposing SBQ photopolymer direct emulsion for industrial and graphics printing with solvent-based inks.
E. ALX is an ultra-high speed diazo photopolymer. ALX is quick drying and very needs very short exposure times for high production situations. Resists both water and solven-based inks.
F. TLX is a multi-purpose, fast exposing diazo photopolymer emulsion with excellent edge definition and resolution. TLX is very high in solids content and provides better stencil build per coat, excellent bridging of coarse mesh and faster drying.
G. 569 & 569 FAST have high solids content for stencils with superb resolution and excellent edge definition, especially for fine details and halftones. All 569 emulsions exhibit complete solvent resistance and thus, afford easy stencil removal. 569 FAST requires half the exposure time of 569.
H. RLX is an advanced multi-purpose fast exposing diazo photopolymer emulsion with exceptional exposure latitude, edge definition and resolution. RLX is very high in solids which provides better stencil build per coat, excellent bridging of coarse mesh and fast drying.
I. 449 produces economical stencils with very good resolution and ede definition and complete solvent resistance. Extremely easy stencil removal. Recommended for general screen printing work.
J. FX88 & FX88-SR (Solvent Resistant) fast exposing FX88 produces tough stencils with good resolution, edge definition and solvent resistance. It is ideal for low intensity light sources.
K. 925WR and 925WR/CL (Clear) stencils produced with 925WR are completely water resistant and very durable. This pale violet emulsion offers a higher solids content and very good resolution, edge definition and exposure latitude. 925WR comes with a syrup diazo sensitizer, for faster and surer mixing. Recommended for sportswear, T-shirt and textile printing.
L. TZ & TZCL (Clear) emulsions are formulated for use with water based inks, water dyes and plastisols. TZ produces stencils with excellent mechanical resistance, good resolution and edge definitions and superb water resistance.
M. ULANO EMULSION PUMP is used to pump emulsion from 5 gallon containers directly into your scoop coater with less waste and mess using the new Ulano direct emulsion pump. It also reduces the potentiial for contamination of emulsion.
ULANO SCREEN CHEMICALS
A. #2 Microgrit is an inert, abrasive powder that mechanically roughens and abrades nylon and polyester mesh.
B. #3 Screen Degreaser Liquid is a solution that removes diret, dust and old from all fabrics, new and used.
C. #23 Roughening/Degreasing Gel is an abrasive degreaser gel that combines the actions of Ulano #2 & #3
D. #25 CDF Mesh Prep is a ready to use liquid that promotes fabric water retention and therefore the uniform adhesion of CDF Direct Flms.
ULANO EMULSION & HAZE REMOVERS
A. #4 ULANO LIQUID STENCIL REMOVER is a ready to use stencil remover liquid for fast and thorough removal of all direct emulsions, CDF Direct Films and Ulanolux UP3 from all types of fabric including metalized polyester.
B. ULANO #44 STENCIL REMOVER POWDER is packaged in 100 gram individually measured foil pouch which yields 5 gallons fo stencil remover liquid.
C. ULANO #5 STENCIL REMOVER PASTE is a ready to use stencil remover paste for fast and thorough removal of direct emulsions, CDF Direct Films, and Ulanolux UP3 for all types of fabric including metalized polyester.
D. ULANO #1 ENZYME is a safe enzymatic product especially formulated for thorough removal of indirect gelatin-based photostencils from all types of fabric.
E. ULANO #15 GELATIN FILM DECOATED LIQUID is an alkaline ready to use liquid for removing indirect gelatin based photostencils from nylon, polyester and stainless steel mesh.
F. #78 HAZE REMOVER PASTE is a stencil scum and ink haze remover that is effective on most inks and emulsions.
